    forum password needs constant reset

For about the past week or 10 days I keep having issues with logging into these forums. The login responds @ every login, that my password is wrong.

I go through the password reset routine (email), get back onto the forums, change my password to something I'll remember, and at the next login have to go through this proceedure all over again.

    Is it just me?

This happened to me at another forum, when I had Win 98. I had to delete all cookies related to the site, then sign in agin. All was fine after that

Do you use a program like CCleaner, SpyBot, etc that may be wiping out your cookies?

Also, if you clear your history often, you may have to uncheck an option clearing cookies.

    thanks for the suggestions.
I regularily dump my cookies and clear my cache.
I dont touch stuff like CCleaner, ever. I like to keep my computer in working order.
Wiping out cookies is a good thing btw. They're only required while on the site.

The problem seems to have gone away...
so I'm going to chaulk it up to my poor eyesight, memory, and 2 fingered typing nailing me one at a time.

If you clear cookies, you have to log in every time you open the browser.

At least with Vista, so probably, also with Win 7, any site that you have in favorites, will not be affected when you dump cookies. This seems to be working for me with 7.

The use of cleaners will certainly require you to log on again, but the logon password is, as far as I am aware, embedded in the site. It should not change because cookies have been dleted.
I think your two finger problem was probably the better solution.
