OEM keys are tied to the original computer on which it was sold.

not fakes, (apart from PMJBM) but base OEM code keys, which cannot be transferred to another comp.
just ask him for the last block.

$70 for a working legitimate Windows 7 Ultimate key is a steal, if it`s good, grab it.
The dvd is an after thought, we can always post a link for you to create your own install dvd, the key is what`s important

If he gets a download from M$ it's a retail

He can also look at his Product ID if he still has Ultimate installed right now, if you see OEM in the string then it`s OEM.
But an OEM Windows 7 Ultimate install is very rare, usually only came with a special order PC.
99% of Ultimate installs will be retail.
Almost every install of Ultimate we see here is bogus.
Here you are a real OEM Ultimate.
