Cannot press ENTER or click Arrow to Login

    I cannot login to Windows.

I can type in my password
but I cannot press enter to login.

I can't even click the arrow key next to the password field to login.

    Note:
I have a program called Luxand blink installed which uses facial to login.
I can still login via face login.

But I can't by typing password.

Can you login normally if you boot to Safe mode or Safe mode with networking? If yes then I suspect the Luxand software is the cause. Uninstall it and see if login is back to normal with a normal boot.

What happens if you press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice to bring up the classic login screen? Can you click / type on that?

    Just tested this
and I can login normally via password in safe boot.

I can press enter after typing password.

The weird thing is before, I was able to login via password when I had installed Luxand.

This problem only started happening about a few days ago or rather I noticed it now
since I have been using facial login.
Not sure what happened to cause this.

When I press enter I just hear the windows sound.

This problem has been solved after removing some leftover DLL files after uninstalling a program called DigitalPersona.

Credits to Pyprohly for the solution..

Additionally, check that none of the following dlls exist in C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Windows\SysWOW64:
Delete all of these DLLs if any exists.
    Code:
    DPClback.dll
    DPCrProv.dll
    DPFPApi.dll
    dpHFtrEx.dll
    dpHMatch.dll
    DpPwdFlt.dll
    DPSDApi.dll
See this thread for more detail about the cause and solution.

Remove "no name" user from login screen

To avoid the problem in the first place..
    Do not install DigitalPersona.
