Windows 7: When printing, print jobs are showing in the print queue as paused.

When printing, print jobs are showing in the print queue as paused.

I have an end user that is printing to a networked Xerox printer. When he prints, his print jobs automatically show in the print queue as "paused". This only happens on the Xerox. I had him try doing this with a networked HP in his area and it doesn't happen on that printer.

I have removed and reinstalled his driver and device. It appeared to be working then a few days later, it does the same thing. We've even had Xerox flash the printer and reset their printer software on the machine as well. From what I see, most of his print jobs are mostly from Outlook and/or Word. Any thoughts here?

Hello mate now just where did you get the driver form for that printer?? I always use the manufacturers site the Windows feature is for me really not worth it. So what is the model of the Xerox??

The driver is from the manufacturer's website. Don't ever get them from anywhere else. The model is a Xerox WorkCentre 5845.

Firmware's don't get updated unless absolutely necessary. The firmware updates need to be tested before they run on the environment. The company has a version of firmware that they use and stick with. Not something I agree with, but we have come across updating firmware which has caused issues in the environment after upgrading.
