It would be nice if you would simply Activate your copy. then it will work until 2010.
several ways, but the easiest way is
start --> cmd (run as admin) --> type - slmgr.vbs -ipk ( enter the key you want to use).
    2. in the same popup type - slmgr.vbs -ato (now wait until it says activated)
and it will if you entered a GOOD KEY, which by the way is 100% FREE from MS or
    use google win7 ultimate key.
BY the way Win7 7127 has a nice expire date:

I checked the Windows 7 FAQ and it specifically mentions that the beta will expire on 1st August.

But when I checked in winver.exe this is what I got:

I haven't activated Windows 7 yet, so is that why this is shown?

This is not the first time I have installed Windows 7. I had to reinstall it and in the previous installtion as well; which I had activated; the dialog said the same!

Or is it that the 30 days activation period counts; as in you have to wait for the 30 days to get over and then activate in order for the beta to last upto 1st August?

    Please help! Awaiting your replies!

    Thanks!
Try download RC 7100 or 7127 so your expires will be around 3/1/10 that is all to it.

older version of build 7000 and less will go shorter expire this year about 2 month to go.

why stick with 7000 while 7100 and 7127 already out ?

All I can do is RECOMMEND you upgrade to Win7 7127. several reasons:
    1. Notice the Expire date.
    2. Notice the 3x Rearms
    3. That give you a total of over a year to play.
What that means is on or before 3-01-2010 you REARM(1) and get 30 days, then Rearm(2) get another 30 days, Rearm (3) that gives you additional 30 days or 90 days from 3-01-2010 or 6-01-2010, Last but not least you then reset the Rearm back to 0. and get your very last 30 days.
7-01-2010. then it goes into SHOCK and AWE.

PS: Ask MS how to rearm - this is 100% legal, and allowed, it was also in Vista. slmgr allows this plus many other functions, so that if you BUY a GOOD RTM Key you can replace your old Beta key and have Full Function RETAIL. This also allow you to ACTIVATE your old or new key automatically.
