I'm just a computer hobbyist so not many problems are so serious I can/t work my way out of them.
I know people who pay $200 to have a virus removed. Just can't believe it.
Just turned 82 so I don't know how much longer I'll be around to continue playing.
To still do so much in your interests and what not I have a lot of respect for people like you and it's inspiring to people like me I think.
This is why I have never bought an upgrade version of Windows. I only buy full retail versions. The upgrade experience never seems to go very smoothly and it's always much nicer to have a fresh start with a new OS.
Plus it means I can still keep my old OS running and not have to worry about MS licensing slapping me on the virtual wrist
I think MS may have stopped selling boxed upgrade versions now anyway, I haven't seen any being sold.
Hi,
Yea some times is better to do inplace upgrades at least 10 should activate easily
After that then the clean install of 10 should self activate
I've never been able to just use a qualifying key to activate 10.
Hi,
No I never did try the phone activation route.
I did once when I reinstalled Vista sp2 a few weeks ago though went okay :)
