My kids finally came up with a solution that worked. Turn off the touch pad and get a wireless mouse. That did the job. Apparently you can't turn off the hover feature on the touch pad, for whatever reason. Thanks to everyone that tried to help.:)

Change the sensitivity of the auto hide feature on the taskbar
Hi i want to make my taskbar take longer to reaper after hidden because it gets annoying every time i try to scroll down it pops up. I have done it before but i forget how now :o Any help would be appreciated.
Is there a taskbar "Auto Open" feature?
Lately, I have been quite annoyed by Windows 7. Whenever I click to open an attachment from an e-mail, my taskbar flashes but the program doesn't open above my e-mail software. It makes it look like it didn't work, unless I'm paying close attention to see it flash. I've tried searching these forums...

Taskbar Auto-Hide Feature
For some reason, the auto hide feature does not work. If I select it and apply, the bar drops down and comes back up. I have tried several times. It is annoying as media controls and web page buttons are hidden behind the task bar.
