Problem with a svchost.exe (netsvcs)

For some strange reason this process is using about 12% of my cpu. It never stops unless I suspend it. But then I cannot browse. So I have to unsuspend it to browse.

Any ideas what could be happening? This is not normal as far as I know.
Avira and Malwarebytes show no problems.

The only affective way to suspend it would be to switch your windows update settings to Never check for updates.

You can use option 3 to reset windows updates history....
Windows Update - Reset

See if you have the latest update client installed first,

MCSeven, I made a thread about that very same issue which I have on all my units for months. As TrashZone mention, set update to never check seems to be the (only) way..

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
Making sure you have these updates installed is the best fix
KB3020369 & KB3172605
If not manually install them
When manually installing updates you need to switch your update settings to Never check for updates and restart the machine first.

svchost.exe (netsvcs) using DataStore.edb
My PC seems to access DataStore.edb a lot, bringing my hard drive to a crawl for minutes at a time. It happens when I first boot up, and on and off as I use it throughout the day. What is triggering this to be accessed? Is there anything I can do to minimize this file being accessed so often? (no...

svchost.exe(netsvcs) problem cpu load high
Hello, I have a problem. In the task manager -> system resources, I see that a process called svchost.exe(netsvcs) (if I'm correct) is using about 50% of cpu. The cpu is AMD dual core 2.81GHz. This doesn't always happen. Right now, it uses 48 %. Should I be concerned? Is it a legitimate process...

It's been doing this for a while now, too.. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I disabled windows update a long time ago; if I try to update it now, my system can't handle it, and it reverts its changes. Help would be appreciated. Where would I start?
