having dont refresh problems from the desktop

This dontrefresh problem is a headache...

My desktop on windows 7 is not auto-refreshing right after I move a song into another folder unless I press F5 twice on the keyboard. Nothing else will work. It's like the same song is in both folders now when displaying from the icons folder, but looking inside one folder the song is not there, until hitting F5 twice. It'll end up fixing itself. I never did backup the registry, by mistake.

I have reformatted 2 hard drives, 2 fresh installations, and somehow this problem still exist after updating windows and its drivers completely. I have even went into the registry and I can't even locate dontrefresh in the hives.

Why doesn't a fresh windows 7 installation not fixing the dontrefresh file inside the hives? Replacing the motherboard fix this? Not sure if the mobo has a defect or what. Any solutions?

    Hey Lance1,
Just started having this along with creating new folders and manually refreshing before they will show up. It always has the same error whether it's a valid file, shortcut or making new folders. (after the second time you hit paste) I just created the Key and DWORD as you stated. Yours is the only answer I found that had a positive result. Thanks.
    Going to reboot before trying.
