Bypass admin password with standard user

I need to bypass my admin password but I only have access to my standard account. I've watched YouTube videos and read forums but they all use another admin account to bypass their main admin where as I do not have another admin. I cannot use cmd because it says access is denied due to the fact that it's only a standard account. I can't download any third party software because I'll have to fill in my admin password. And don't not wish to purchase a disc. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
Your post begs the question of why can you not just login with your Admin Account? Why do you need to bypass it? Where are you downloading third party software from?

ISorry I forgot to say. I have forgotten my admin password. I haven't used it in years so that's why I forgot. If I restart the laptop it will still have the admin account due to the fact that it's been installed onto it. What can I do?

So I am now very confused. Are you saying that you haven't been able to login to the Admin Account fo many years?

It is not possible to obtain admin access to a computer using a standard account. This is by design. If there was any way to do this Microsoft would very much like to know about it, so they could ensure it didn't happen again.

Due to the fact that we cannot prove ownership of the laptop in question, it is forum policy not to assist in these cases - this is not any form of accusation just company policy.

The only advice I can give is to take the laptop to a local computer Technician (or shop), as you will be able to prove ownership to them they should be able to remove or reset the password.

Another option would be to reinstall from a suitable disk using the original key if this is known (or on a sticker on the laptop )
