How to load and modify my personalized W7 keyboard layout?

    Hello,

Recently I moved to a new pc, with Windows 7, same as my previous device, but now 64 bit.
In the old pc I used a personalized keyboard layout, created with Keyboard Layout Creator 1.4.
I installed that creator again on my pc.
But whatever I do I can NOT:
    • Reload my saved .klc file with the personalized 'old' keyboard
    • Load any existing keyboard from the list.
At least: The program screen says that my layout IS loaded and active, but I do not see anything...

    What do I do wrong?
    What can I do better?

    Thanks, greetings,
    Wim/Indonesia

    Hello Roy,
Not even sure about my old file, I think my previous pc had 32-bits but perhaps not...
But I think that is not the point.
Because as said I can not load ANY (existing) keyboard, even the common US ones. The screen remains totally blank.
And installing in compatibility mode...? How???

    Greetz,

I replied some hours ago, now I see that the reply was not sent 'because it had more than 55667987987 or so characters'.
Not true. Annoying. Anyhow, I try to rewrite my reply plus screenprint.
    1. The compatibility mode does not change anything.
    2. I am familiar with the language bar, using Dutch/English/Indonesian mixed. All normal, no problems. My default keyboard is US-International and in the past I added some extra characters like © and •
    3. When I start the Keyboard Layout Creater the screen is empty and remains empty, whatever I try or click:

Thanks for the link, Roy - it produced the solution!
I used custom dpi of 106% and after I went temporarily back to the default 100% the keyboard showed up and I could start editing.

As this has been detected already years ago, Microsoft should be blamed for not having repaired this bug. Any independent application developer would make fast and permanent repairs and improvements - otherwise they get bankrupt. But not the (Al?)Mighty Microsoft...

Having solved this problem I could load and see my previously modified keyboard and make 1 further change.
But then I failed again. The instructions to INSTALL the new keyboard are very confusing - at least: for me.
I must save, verify, deploy, install, add...
I tried several combinations, but could not activate my 'old new keyboard'.
It is named "keyboard US International Wim.klc" = based upon US-International PLUS my own changes.
I know in which folder it is located but cannot 'load' it in my language bar options.
    Can you please help again?
    Thanks,
    Wim

    Thanks...
