    Printer recognition problems

    I've got a Dell laptop and am trying to get either of two printers to connect. Both are recognised as scanners but the printer modules are not being recognised. The printers I am trying to use are a Brother DCP-197C
    and an Epson Stylus Office BX525WD.

    I'm running on Windows 7 Home Premium

    Anyone know how to resolve this?

    Hi and welcome to the Forum
    Have you got the original software discs that came with these printers? If no go to here for the Brother package;
    Downloads | DCP-197C | United Kingdom | Brother
    and here for the Epson:
