    Copy/paste and other problems

    Hi

I recently installed Win 7 64 bit along with all my programs and backed up data. I then discovered that the right click copy/paste function refused to work also WMP would not show all my music neither would it display the online music stores. Having looked under the hood a few times I could not find the cause of the problems. In frustration I then reinstalled Win 7 again. The first thing I did was to make sure that the functions which were not working before were now OK, which they were. So I reinstalled all my programs and data again only to discover that the right click copy/paste had again packed up and was refusing to function. Now this might be a minor irritant but by now I was getting a bit ticked off and concerned as to what else I might find didn't work sometime in the future and may be a source of a larger problem. So I reinstalled again and everything checked out OK so everything was again reinstalled but then I found that copy/paste had stopped functioning

Can anyone tell me how to put this right as it is beginning to really bug me and I am very fed up with having to keep reinstalling everything all to no avail.

    Post a screenshot.

Are the menu options greyed out? Are they normal but nothing happens when you click on them? What's the context?

We need detailed information to troubleshoot for you.

    Hi

OK I think I have found the culprit responsible for my copy/paste problem.

I use SeaMonkey for its all in one browser/email. When I installed Win7 I reinstalled Seamonkey version 1.18. At that time right click copy/paste worked OK. The mistake I made was to tick the auto upgrade box so at sometime my seamonkey version was updated to version 2.0 and that is what caused the problem. I have now reinstalled version 1.18 and turned off auto update and everything is AOK again. I am kicking myself because my number one rule is never update/install anything until I can checkout that there are no potential problems waiting for me.

Thanks for your interest guys, much appreciated.
