Delay (multiple refresh required) before new files display

For the last several years, I have noticed that newly copied files do not show up immediately in Explorer.exe on the Win7 platform or a Win2008R2 share when viewed on a network share on a Win 7 machine. (I guess that's nothing to do with Server2008, if I'm viewing the share on a Win 7 platform!!)

For example if I view the directory contents in details view, I have to sort several times (A-Z then Z-A) or even switch the sort criteria to date, then back to name, etc. before a file that has been moved or copied is visible. This is an extreme PIA and makes me second guess my save location, my ability to organize, my sanity ... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I alone in this? No way right? I have been putting up with this BS for a long time and I apologize it took me this long to post about it. I did search for this before I posted this, but I did not get relevant hits on SevenForums.

I really like Win7 (I'm a Mac devotee but Win 7 is a good OS) but this quirk is the WORST. Anyone concur?

Let me get this straight.. Your on a Win7 system connected to a Win2008R2 server and your logged in as a user to this server? And this has been going on for several years! Sounds like an IT department problem to me. Call them up!
