    Windows Explorer - custom settings


    Is there a way to save settings in Windows Explorer.
    I typically use the "List" view but often to switch to the "Details" view. The problem is that it takes time to set the correct fields and this always goes to the default when I go to another folder location.

Is there any way to prevent the 'view' setting in Win 7 from being global and changing every folder in the computer. I have three win 7 machines and they all do it. And why did 'thumbnails' become 'icons'??
