I'm not seeing a reason to "upgrade" to Windows 10. Everything works now. How will Win 10 change that?

I've never upgraded any PC. I get a new OS only when I buy a new PC.

For me, Windows 7 will end when the box dies.

I like Windows 10....I just don't like the way they want their customers to upgrade to their latest OS.

Am I the only one to have blocked all W10-related stuff with the group policy? I see none of those popups. I'm quite happy with 7.

No, I have blocked it on all of my 5 computers.

Exception: I am dual booting 7 and 10 on one computer. 10 works fine on it. That's enough.

Ah, just saw that bugger in the Updates - KB3173040. Good I don't install updates automatically! Not sure what would happen if I installed this update despite the group policy block. I'm not going to try even though I'm curious.

It won't show up if you have the reg key or GPO settings in place. There's a section on the KB article that tells you which actions/settings won't trigger the notification.

I'm definitely not upgrading. I'd rather keep Windows 7 on my system if I'm entirely honest. Beside the BSODs I've had with Windows 7 (haven't had any recently though) I have no issues. With Windows 10, it's been reported that it gives issues with a lot of games, such as Red Alert 2 and other older generation games.

At least that's one thing that doesn't bother me using 10, games, I'm not into all this fighting, shooting, war games, I'm not bloodthirsty.
