You should've expect Driver problems in 10's first few months. It's still young.
    I disagree.

Existing HW and driver software should not just break if you update Windows, unless MS deliberately changed something in the OS.

OTOH, I don't expect new HW and driver software to necessarily work in an old machine (e.g. a PCIe graphics card won't plug into an AGP motherboard).

Most driver issues I've read about are graphic's/ chipset or printers
Display wise 10 seems as generic as it gets so I'm not sure what is up with display incompatibilities

I have a display issue that forced me to quit using Windows 10. The issue didn't appear till way after the November update. Intel solution was to re-install the driver-same issue. The one issue is a flicking screen even though it happens occasionally its still annoying after awhile. I even tried a new insider build it flickered even worse. It happens on the log-on menu & when opening up the start menu. I even tried the latest driver from Intel-again the same issue. I am not saying its Intel doing, I think one of the windows updates may be interfering with the graphics driver. Which update I have no idea.

I had the rare opportunity to try the ''upgrade''. 4 BSODs in a single month on w10 vs. none on 7. Screen reducing the framerate and sometimes freezing really weird on win 10 (two times happened) vs. no such thing happening on my win 7 machine. Besides it was so laggy that even the ''new'' start menu took at least a second to open every single time. On 7 it opened instantaneously. There may have been some improvements over time (I had the experience in august when the system was really fresh, but it was still supposed to be a stable version). Maybe there were some stability improvements over time but I still couldn't trust enough this, as I was aware that I couldn't rollback after the month ended. Now I am happy here, on my windows 7 (I am actually using the starter edition but I made some tweaks and it's totally usable).

So if you are deciding to upgrade thank me for being a guinea pig for Microsoft, so you have that nice, stable system you may be using after (and IF you succesfully upgrade of course )

It was always display drivers that threw the monkey wrench in things for me. Just about anything else you can live with. Display drivers crashing your system you can't.

Yep Cortana I believe screwed everything up as far as the start menu and search was concerned
It always took a few seconds for anything to come up which was maddening :)
So yea dumped web search soon after and of course started using winkey+s which now is no different but once web search is killed at least no delay is happening.
Now it's just a shit search results

I'm sure after 8-2-2016 I'll have to use another search/ start menu option other than what ever windows is using in 10.Classic shit shell or start 10
Or just not use it and see what happens with the 2nd... anniversary issue.

Won't have to listen to me moaning, I don't want 10. If I ever change my mind, I'll buy it and clean install it, if I don't buy Apple. Till then it's W7.
