That will happen. There are some that think, once they have reserved their free upgrade, they can do it "any time they want". Even after the 29th.

    Alphanumeric,

I thought Microsoft updated or got rid of the reserve windows 10 feature, so that won't happen. The reserve feature shouldn't allowed any reservation after the July 29th, 2016

    Hi,
Not exactly what he or I was referring too,
People could of reserved win-10 a year ago but have not been able to install 10 for a number of reasons.

I was surprised the upgrade on my Acer succeeded without a clean install...
The upgrade did state my mother board was not compatible with fast start which I already knew that
Lately a lot of upgrades have just stalled for hours and some for days

I'm referring to those that did the reservation early on, but didn't actually do the upgrade.

Then we have to listen to all the folks moaning because MSFT didn't give them enough notice and they missed the upgrade
Won't have to listen to me moaning, I don't want 10. If I ever change my mind, I'll buy it and clean install it... Till then it's W7.

Just looked in Windows update and all the updates relating to the 10 upgrade have disappeared from my optional list.... Bliss!

    Normal service has resumed!

That is good news. I'm still seeing this optional update:

Yes the moaning has started, people complaining that they weren't informed about the free upgrade or if they were they were not given enough time

If they didn't upgrade within the year, that's their problem. 12 months is more than enough time, so no point complaining about it now.
Personally, I'm glad it's over and done with. No more GWX!
