    Saferweb?

Anyone ever use Saferweb being advertised online? If so, what is your experience with it, good, bad, ehh, works, indifferent?

    The add in part recommends:

    • I recommend the “Pro” Plan. (Only $5) and not only will you be fully protected for life, but you’ll also get discounts on thousands of online purchases, by, accessing local currency rates when connecting your computer to the secure connection
    • Step 4: Your connection and Online ID are now protected for life One Account for all your devices.. It’s that simple.

Or is there a similar workaround that keeps you safer on the internet?

Security in the present day isn't in a security product or service. Against the social engineering threats that are becoming increasingly common these will not help you much.

I've heard nothing but bad thinks about Saferweb. Not saying that VPN is a bad thing just that company. I use Ultrasurf and have for sometime. It's a free proxy Not a VPN that gives me peace of mind online. But if you want to be completely invisible the Tor Browser is the way to go.

Lance 1: I am currently using DuckDuckGo Plus. Is Ultrasurf similar to DuckDuckGo Plus?

Would the Tor Browser slow down loading pages on my computer?

C-11: After reading the reviews in that article link, it does appear Saferweb is a legit scam.

    Thanks.

No it is not. DuckDuckGo is a Internet search engine like Google. Ultrasurf is a proxy which uses Ultrasurf proxy severs to hide your IP and location from prying eyes. Read Proxy Server on wikipedia.

Would the Tor Browser slow down loading pages on my computer?
Yes. Tor browser is slower then the normal browsers we use like IE and FF. See my Tor browser link in my other post.
