Tried to clean Regedit now Win 7 will not boot
I'm running a Dell 8700 pc - win 7 64 bit
My DAW (Cakewalk Sonar Producer 8) program would not install because it would not accept the reg key. I tried doing a "clean install" by going into regedit and deleting all the folder associated with my DAW program.
After doing this, my PC will not boot. I get a blue screen with the MS/Win 7 logo at the bottom of the screen. Also the screen flickers/blinks every 6 seconds. See attached screenshot.
In addition, when I shut down, these weird white symbols appear in the middle of my screen. - see 2nd screenshot.
Before I made all the regedit mods, I did save a backup of the registry. It's a .reg file. THe problem is, I have no way of uploading this file into the PC since I can't get Win 7 running.
I really would like to avoid having to re-install Win 7 and all my programs. It was very difficult to find the correct drivers for my PC.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this broken PC?
