Icons for .HTM/.HTML files show up like text files

    Hello friends,

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit. The icons for firefox HTM/HTML files are
not displayed properly. They are displayed like Text files. I even configured the default icon
for .htm/.html files in FileTypesMan utility. Still in the windows explorer, the files are shown as Text
document. Has the "Perceived file types" has anything to do ? I don't find HTML file in the list of Perceived file types.
    Please help.

Check file associations and if .htm/.html files are set to open with your text editor change program to Firefox.

They are already associated with firefox. That's why they open in firefox by default. What i mean to say is that the icon for a .HTML/.HTM file is shown like a text file in windows explorer. That's what the problem is.
Any help from any expert ??

If that doesn't work - reinstall Firefox.

If that sill doesn't work get "Default Programs Editor" from the link in this post:

    .PDF reader

Right click the executable and "Run as administrator"

Then follow the procedure shown in the screenshots.
