Desktop shortcut in Favorites

    Desktop shortcut in Favorites


    Hey
    So i deleted the Favorites folder located at C:\Users\USER\ and now i realized the desktop shortcut is also gone,how can i restore the favorites folder with the desktop shortcut in it ?
    Already tried this "restore favorite links",nothing happened.

    If you like, you can use step 6 in OPTION TWO of the tutorial below to restore the Favorites folder.

    Hey Brink,did option two step six,Favorites folder is back but it's empty,redid what I've shown in the screenshot but still no desktop shortcut.

    The Favorites folder contains IE11 Favorites.

    If you mean the Favorites in File Explorer, then that would be the Links folder instead.

    In this screenshot where the red box is i used to have "desktop" it disappeared after deleting the Favorites and the Links folders (and only god knows what else) i did try the links batch file but that also did nothing,the links folder is there but empty and desktop isn't there

    If you haven't already, you might see if an option in the tutorial below may be able to restore the default shortcuts in Favorites (Links folder).

    If that doesn't help, then see if this below may.
