Right click on Desktop icon in the navigation pane and click remove.
In case you need to restore icon right click favourites and click on restore favourites link

Hardly an important issue but I would like, if possible, to hide or remove the little blue rectangular Desktop icon that lives on the edge of my screen just to the right of the clock in my Task Bar.
Is this possible at all please and if so how would I go about it please?

Is there a way to hide or remove the desktop icon on a folder showing on the desktop so that the folder name only shows? I don't need to have the icons showing on the desktop , just the folder name.
I do not want this option anywhere other than the desktop.

im running 64-bit win7, i also have dreamscene enabled running reactor_1680 background.
it has a black border around it, around 4 inches from the edge of the screen.
now for the past month its been perfectly fine but something happened to it?
the way i had it setup was the desktop icon text...
