Powered up this afternoon only to find the BIOS was again changing the boot settings and I am now wondering if updating my Kaspersky to 2017 version may have caused this after what Mike said about Eset because I can't imagine the new battery could be dead already and it is a good brand one too.

Am now wondering if I should re flash the BIOS even though the version is the current one??

    Hi,
You might try Panda free for a little while and see if the settings get changed
I use it and never had any settings come up different than what I have chosen.

You have mbam premium too I believe so security wise you'd still be good to go :)

    I doubt it's a bios thing.

Yes Mike I only run free MBAM and it could be the Kaspersky but I hav been using that since 2010 but any port in a storm.

Now do you reckon reflashing th BIOS even though the current version is the same as the latest one?? I just don't want to brick the board if I do that, because that update version was meant to fix bugs they found but like I say it was a long time ago.

Yes well I am still on the version that was recommended shortly after I built it because it was supposed to fix bugs so I am just wondering if the BIOS has become a bit corrupted or just disorganised and needs a nudge back into place to get it back into shape??.
