    Desktop icons missing

Hello. Great article below. But not for me it seems. Tried to restore desktop icons, but still just have the description letters. No image or color. When I change from true color 32 bit, to High color 16 bit, do get readable but not clearcut icons (distorted).

Desktop Icons - Change or Restore Default Icon

Any suggestions? Thanks bunches in advance. James

    Hello James, :)

Please go ahead and post a screenshot showing this to see if it may help reveal a possible cause.

You have some other issue at hand than the icons of the default desktop icons from the tutorial.

As a test, change your theme to rule that out.

If this has just recently happened, then you could try doing a system restore using a restore point dated before it happened to undo it.

Did you change the shortcut arrow overlay icon? If so, try restoring the default arrow icon to see if that helps.
