Recycle Bin - Auto deletes Despite Properties

Hi. Any suggestions please? My recycle bin empties itself every time the machine shuts down. This is despite the settings in "Properties". In the recycle bin Properties panel, the radio button next to "Don't move files..." is off. The "Display delete confirmation dialogue" box is checked. How do I set the recycle bin not to automatically empty itself? Thanks for your help.

    Hi Hippobabe,
Possibly your AV / Tune up utility / Cleaner,
has this option set to clear on shutdown.

Thank you Roy. System Mechanic has an "Active Care" option to automatically "clean up system clutter". It doesn't mention the fact that it empties the recycle bin, but obviously it does. I unticked the option, and the recycle bin was not emptied when I booted today. Problem solved!
