So Microsoft coming out with a new Windows 10 so now what?

I watched the live show today of Microsoft announcing the new Creative Windows 10 coming out in early 2017. Since this is alot about 3D usage, what happens to those who upgraded their Windows 7 or want to upgrade their Windows 7 to this version. I would think to get 3D you must have an mega video card and lots of memory to run this? How can those who have older machines put this on? Especially those who upgraded to windows 10.

Also do you know when Microsoft is not supporting Windows 7 anymore?

    thanks

I can't do most 3d. My disability prevents me from using it. That what worries me about holo-lens as well. They need to keep the disabled in mind as well. A lot of games I would of love to play, but I can't. I get headaches & 3d is worse. I even have trouble using computers adjusting themes does help with that issue.

I am betting they will force it down your throat like they did trying to get one to upgrade. I upgraded 2 windows 7 machines and have had nothing but troubles with it. I am not upgrading my business machine that has windows 7. If they are still supporting it till 2020 and u never know they could change that date, it will have to die before i upgrade it.

But if it is offered to older maxhines that had windows 7 or even 8 how. Miserable will it be? Given these computers do not have the technology to run this?

The update is simply the next of the planned updates, of which we have already had two

The general idea is that Windows 10 will have regular updates to the original code, One or two a year for the life of the project - Microsoft have stated that windows 10 will be the last Windows in that it will not be replaced but just evolve

The 3D Paint is just one of the additions to the interface and actual OS, the one thing that I am looking forward too is the ability to collapse the All Apps list on the start menu, but you can expect a lot more based on the Insider Program input.

The technical specs of a typical windows 7 era system will struggle to run any current high end graphics software (and games and other software), that is the same as it's always been, you would not expect to run windows 7 software on Windows 95 hardware. There will be no additions to the functionality of Windows 7 just basic security fixes until the end of the extended support in February 2020 but of course you are free to use it for as long as you wish, and with third party software to cover advances in technology this is a possibility

The update may install but I still think your system has to support 3d. It looks like you have to use an accessory to get it full functional.

Microsofts purpose for the update is to sell the products needed to use it, according to the article I posted above.

Robin, if you had nothing but trouble, why didn`t you just revert them back to 7, you had a full year to play with the TP so there`s no excuse.

    Hi,
Unless one uses a Microsoft account I doubt one could use it anyway like most of the apps
This one also requires the newest Office too for power point stuff.

3D paint is another thing but it might also mean there will be no more normal or older paint so that one might just mean one needs to use another utility/ app to fill the void

Not a lot about 3d is very extensive most gpu's can handle it with direct x 11 possibly 10
Steam has a 3d test that Brink posted some time ago to see how/ if existing hardware is compatible
Now sure where that test is but I do remember it was a health download to even see where a cpu/ gpu is at in it rating :)
