    File not at location?

So I had a weird thing just happen yesterday. According to my logs I have not installed any Microsoft updates in the past 2 days, nor had to update any programs on my systems. I have a several Windows 7 machines and this is happening on only two of them. (Also on my Windows 8.1 and Windows 10)

I am trying to install some programs (i.e. Disk Defrag and Backup). I get the message in the pic. But in every area I go to the file shows that it is there. I tried downloading directly from the website, got on another machine and put it on a thumb, got it on another machine and put it on the network drive and every time it says the same thing. But on my other Win7 machines it works fine so it cannot be the actual file itself

So not sure why just now. This just started yesterday. I have rebooted my entire network (i.e. router, modem, all computers, cells. etc.) and same issue. I have checked the properties and all looks fine. I had an older version and compared the settings (properties) and they are the same. Security are the same.

Weird part is I can install the old version just fine, but the newer one (which does work on other Win7 machines) still does not install. I compared permissions and they are the same. So really racking my brain on this and why exactly now? Why older one works and newer does not? Why does it says it cannot access the path when it is there?

    Just weird

OK, tried one more thing and it worked. Disabled my antivirus and now it installs. Strange still the A/V is the same across all systems so again, why some and not on others. But at least I know what to turn off. FYI

Are you trying to install Disk Defrag and Backup?
Are they the original that came with Win 7?

Thanks for the reply Megahertz07. No, Auslogic and Syncback. But I found a setting in Avast that was causing the issue. My system settings for each machine did not match up in Avast. When I turned Avast off my problem systems worked. Then I looked in the settings and found the differences. I think I read somewhere in the 7F that it is one way to check so that prompted me to turn off the A/V.
