Yes I can understand the confusion, the only thing I can think of is that the 868 update may include some non security updates not supplied by Microsoft, drivers and the like.

The other thing I'm not totally sure of is with a roll up does the checks for what is needed take place before dowload, and only what's needed downloaded. If not it's a bit unfair for those who still don't have unlimited net access

    Hi,
The way it lists for 64 bit the catalog update is 88mb the one in windows updates is at 134mb so it must contain something :)
Makes no difference to me if I see issues.... with the win updates version I'll just restore an image and go to plan B.

I suspect that MS includes unwanted/useless extras like W10 style telemetry changes.

Given how sluggish W10's market share is growing (last quarter) I also expect that MS will "accidentally" include GWX (or a new "improved" version) in the rollups.

Since MS claims there will never be another version of Windows after W10, they are going to have break W7 and W8 series installs if they want to increase W10's market share.

    Hi,
Good reason to keep as many system images as possible :)
Especially well before all this rollup nonsense started
One desktop 10 popup message is all it will take
