    Move Window Help

When I activate the move window function I can move an explorer window 'beyond' the monitor screen left-right-top-bottom edges. This is ok. However, I am unable to get this same behavior for any browser window that I want to move significantly beyond the monitor screen TOP edge. Left-right-bottom, no problem but moving beyond the top edge - no go.

    -thx

In normal windows behaviour the most you can move past the top edge of the screen is the part with the close/window/minimize. Is that what you can't do with the browser?
If you can move an explorer window 'significantly' above the top edge of the screen this is not normal windows behaviour and you are using a third party application

No. Why would you want to do that? Once the title bar is off the screen you have to jump through hoops to get the window back on the screen.

There are circumstances when a windows disappears from the screen, most often people using dual screens or remoting into a computer that does, poorly coded software, etc. Before you ask the windows dissapear to the right or the left, not heard of one moving up or down out of the screen.

To answer 'why' - There is a website where the display at that site contains embedded window with scroll bars. Sometimes I want to capture image in that window with snipping tool and cannot because I need to move active browser window up high enough.

Any chance you could post the link to where you see this embedded window?

If you frequent ebay there are many sellers that customize their listings with embedded windows that contain a lot of product data, images etc. It's like that. I'll locate the exact one later if still required, let me know. Nevermind, found it, here it is :

something like this: pic 1 is my shopping list but you can't see the bottom because I would need to scroll further down
If I scroll the browser only the main window moves, not the shopping list.
USe PicPick and the magic happens: pic 2 shows main windows stayed where it was, embedded frame scrolled
