Windows 7: Lost drives list

Lost drives list

For unknown reason, the list of my drives disappeared from most of my programs panels, as well as drives icons on some programs (for exemple : Xplorer 2)
So, in many case (for instance when I want to select a folder to install a new application), I can not do it

It seems the 'My computer" and the "Garbage can" icons also disappeared (I don't know if it is related)

I was able to recreate the "My computer" icon, but not the "Garbage can"

Is there a way to solve these problems

I run Windows 7 - 64 bits

Thanks fr your help Have a good day

lost contact list
Installed system 7 over windows XP. Before starting I saved mostly everything (MS Outlook) but not my contact list. Is the contact list still on my hard drive since I did not format it? Could it be embedded in some saved file by the installation program?
