    changing drive letters caused loss of user's files


    hello,
    i've changed drive letters of my hdd and partitions so that coused loss of user;s files foldr content. before i have done that change there were two partitions - C and D. on parition D were my music, my pictures and my videos content, but after i changed drive letter from D to E all those folders are gone. i can make shortcuts, but i want it to be like it used to be when i have installed Windows 7.

    Are you saying that the folders are physically gone, or that Windows doesn't find them? I shall assume the latter, and if so, you can reset the folder location by the username link on the top right of the Start Menu, and in the window that opens, right click any problem folder and select the Move button at the bottom and browse to the folders location and select it.

    hm...
    folders were there, they have not physically gone, but there wasn't shortcut in User's files folder. But now, when i turned on my PC everything was OK. All i have done yesterday it was option two - method two from this tutorial: user folders - restore default icon
