I'm talking about a win 10 install disk recognizing mouse and keyboard but not recognizing them with a win 7 disk. Both using the same usb ports.

Right, that`s because W10 has usb 3.0 drivers, the W7 installer does not.
You can not be using 2.0 ports if the keyboard and mouse do not work.
There should be no reason the 2 front usb 2.0 ports will not work.
Connectivity: 6x USB Ports (2x USB 2.0 Front, 2x USB 2.0 Rear, 2x USB 3.0 Rear, 1x HDMI, 1x VGA
I'm talking about a pc that recognizes mouse etc with win 10 disk but not with win 7 disk. Both using the same (black) usb ports.
I HAVE tried using the front usb ports. Have tried unplugging re plugging during install etc.
Guess I'll surrender: BUT thank you for your support. I do appreciate your attempt to assist me.
Don`t give up, create a usb installer with integrated usb 3.0 drivers, it may work.
I have no idea why your keyboard and mouse do not work, that doesn`t make sense.
Thank you I'll try it. I've downloaded Win7-USB3.0-Creator-V3.zip. But how/where do I use it?
OOps found the answer on the readme of the folder. I'll post what happens.
Evidently a bio or mother board or hardware issue. Still can't work AND apps I used before like Boot Repair and Gparted DVDs WILL NOT execute.
Unfortunately some OEM comps have been made W7 INCOMPATIBLE.
