    Windows 7 missing programs after installing W10 and going back to W7.


    A few months ago I downloaded Windows 10. I immediately did not like Windows 10 so the next day I used the MS provided method to change back to Windows 7.

    Since then I have noticed some problems.
    1. There have been no updates sent from MS, nor can I find any by searching within W7 since downloading W10 and then quickly returning to W7.
    2. At least the defrag program is missing, perhaps some others that I so far have not noticed.

    I would appreciate some suggestions.

    Just to clarify, is it only the Disk Defragmenter shortcut missing from the Start Menu, or you can't find its "C:\Windows\System32\dfrgui.exe" file?

Hello, my laptop has started to BSOD. I think it happens randomly, but it seems like it might sometimes happen when moving the laptop (for example gently picking it up from the table). I'm not really sure about this though. Some time ago I decided to re-install windows 8.1 on this laptop....
