    AppData folder

Greetings. I realized that the AppData folder located on my user is no longer displayed as hidden. I clarify that I have not activated that function in the folder options. Appdata is displayed as a common folder. I searched the internet but I can not find anywhere if it is normal behavior.

    Hi

Right click on the folder, select Properties, marked it as Hidden box.

Ensure it belong to your account name.

Maybe you or someone had removed the check mark on the Hidden box, unknowing.

    Nothing much to worry.

But do a virus check on your system on malware & virus, just in case.

    Eric.

Thank you for your answer. Is it possible that some program has modified this value ?, since I did not and nobody else has access to my PC. I already ran antivirus and other security tools and came out clean.

Since the computer is clean, there is no need to worry.

Most the program listed in the AppData is actual live, and just leave it, that is why it is hidden.

This user folder is based on each individual users as other valid user will have their own folders.

Windows is giving its user their own space, such as preference, setting and any others options.
