    Deleted user account, cannot remove files


    I deleted a user account I was using for testing and decided to keep the files, now there is a folder permanently stuck in my desktop which I cannot remove.



    Please help.

    If for some reason Samuria's great idea is not accepted by the computer or Windows; create a Puppy Linux usb or dvd boot, and use its file manager to delete that pesky folder.

I followed the steps you provided to delete a user account and it is still showing up when I attempt to log on. I even restarted the computer, thinking that was what was needed, but there it is still! Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. mitzi
Hi all I managed to somehow put in the wrong command into command prompt and deleted my user account, When i go to c;/users my name is still listed there with all my files etc, is there any way to restore my account? Any help much appreciated Cheers
