Windows Explorer keeps freezing? Any ideas?

Got a user keeps having Explorer crash the same way at random intervals.
    We have:
    Rebuilt the laptop
    Updated all drivers
    Replaced a motherboard.
IT even happened to her on a loan laptop(!)

    Anyone got any suggestions?

What more information do you need.

Does the issue come up when you are in Safe Mode?
    Safe Mode

If the issue does not continue in Safe Mode... Try the following link
Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

If it's happening on the loaner laptop, could it be an infected USB? Try to find similarities in what she has been doing on the computer. ie websites she visits, downloads, installed programs etc.

I would also try a couple virus/malware scans to see if that may be causing the issue.

I doubt this is a hardware related problem.

First thing I would do is do a full scan with Malwarebytes or a similair program. Also try to end explorer.exe and manually start it again.

That suggests to me, it's not a hardware problem.
I suggest looking for things like programs the two system have in common.

Do you have Advanced System Care installed on these computers or any other IObit programs?
