Windows sometimes orders explorer by most recently used - how to stop

Sometimes when I pull up Explorer, my files and folders listed are not ordered by name. They seem to be ordered by last used. This is a waste of time to me. I can't find anything by last used!

Is there a way to tell Windows - always order by name and never order by last used?

Thanks.

Hi,
As far as I've noticed you can right click a black spot on the main window and choose Sort by Name.
Afterwards explorer should remember that :/

How do I stop recently opened programs sticking to the start menu?
Hi, I like a clean start menu and the only thing I have on it is Mozilla Firefox. Whenever I open a program, it automatically appears on it and I have to manually remove it, it's really annoying. Is there any way of stopping things automatically going there? Here's an example; I have Mozilla...
