Hi,
Details view of folders and subfolders isn't really obsolete
There are a lot of different sizes as I said and switching a folders size or windows explorer view will trigger changes.
It's best to have complete ico files
A lot of people also use ctrl+scroll wheel to adjust icon sizes quickly since small/ medium and large.. are usually not ideal.

I like to change the standard, boring, default folder icons to something more meaningful and neat-looking from an excellent icon pack.
Sometimes they stay changed for years, sometimes they revert to standard in fairly short order. How make my changes permanent?
I used to go the manual route:...
in Windows 7 can i hide the Icons in the desktop? Can i toggle back and forth between just the wallpaper and the icons on a backdrop of the wallpaper? How can i do that?
Thank you.
I enclose a screenshot of what I mean. I'm talking about the icons on the 'sky' background, which I have great difficulty in reading. Is it possible to have so;id clour for those icons (all of the desktop icons)?
I'm using Win 7 64 HP. I've tried using Fences and Iconoid, but couldn't make much...
All right...here's a puzzle. I love the Sticky Notes application. But it get's really annoying when I over over the Show Desktop button, I only see my gadgets! Sticky Notes gets hidden because Windows sees it as an application and not a gadget (which is right).
Anyway to add this functionality? ...
This is probably what bothers me most about Windows 7. Unlike Windows XP, the text on desktop icon looks "ugly" (on bright backgrounds).
Is there a way of having the desktop icon text look exactly like Windows XP?
