    Install win 7 on hp 260 - p026

Cause I HATE windows 10 and really like Win 7: I bought an hp 260-p026 (win 10 preinstalled) wiped hd and attempted to install win 7. Disabled safe boot and enabled Legacy because I can't find how to get dvd drive as boot option with UEFI .Booting to dvd drive with Legacy installation does not recognize mouse and key board. What to do?

Wow, talk about hasty, you should have pulled the drive and bought another to install 7 on

Just create a usb installer with usb 3.0 integrated drivers, most manufacturers have the software, did you look at HP ?

No 2.0 ports on that thing ?

Looks like you may be reinstalling 10, it`s not that bad after you customize it, did you even give it a chance ?

Does it have a boot menu, use that and there should be 2 choices, a uefi dvd boot and a non uefi dvd boot, but that`s not gonna help your keyboard and mouse issue, there are no usb 3.0 drivers in the Windows 7 installer.

Then there`s no reason the keyboard and mouse won`t work.

But they don't work. They DO work with a win 10 install disk.

There may be driver issues that are present on win 10 disk but not on win 7 disk
