How to write custom keyboard shortcut for repetitive typing

    Hi

I work in an office where for the majority of my day i run reports through software that has an excel format but is not excel. part of the process involves me typing a line of my clients initials into a search engine several times a day

    (eg. RS/FS/FGH/RF/SF/DSG/JGD/FV).

one way of speeding this up i found was to save an email in outlook with my list of clients as the header so i could copy and paste it in. this however still involves opening outlook finding the email and then ctrl C, ctrl V. i thought this could be quicker with a hot key shortcut so when i for example press Ctrl+Shift+J it types out RF/G/DH/LKF/HG/SG into the box i currently have selected?

i understand there is software like autohotkey that would probably allow me to do this, however as it is a work PC they do not allow us to install software other than that which come with factory windows 7.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Perhaps you could set up a Folder in your Documents file with all the various name combinations that you need. You could then use a Short Cut to the Desktop for quick access.

All you need do is click on the Short Cut select the name combination that you want, copy it & go from there. Also you can minimise that window so you can access it directly from the Task Bar if needed again while in your spreadsheet.
