My personal preference would be Macrium IMAGE. Follow WHS's tutorial that you have in your post#7. have used this a few times and always works. Shrink your original OS partition to smaller than new SSD, then expand it after transfer. Also make sure that you choose the option in Macrium to image the OS partition(s) so that it will be bootable, just a simple partition image may not do it. (select the second choice down, looks like a W10 logo) I made a full print of Wolfgang's tutorial so as to not skip any steps. As per the old adage "if all else has failed - - follow the directions'
It may also help to post a pic of disk management.

Jim has brought up a very important point.
Boot into your working Hard drive and post a shot of Disk Management showing both the working hard drive and the ssd, that should explain things.
