Win7 Home Can't change Date and Time
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 & 32bit
Nobody can permanently change or adjust the date and time.
If I click on the Date & Time in the bottom Right and click on "Change Date and Time Settings" then click on the change date and time button. I can then adjust / change the date and time and click OK.
My problem then is that I cannot Apply the change because the Apply button is greyed out.
OK the changes do take place but on next restart or boot up the time is still 43 minutes behind again. Exactly 43 minutes.
If I force the PC to change / adjust the time by synchronising with internet time, the process is successful but again on next reboot or restart the time is 43 minutes behind again.
I have two other Win7 Home devices, a desktop and a laptop. The time and date is correct but I cannot permanently adjust the time. Same problem. So I asked a friend with a Win7 Laptop to try the same for me and he has the same issue, his Laptops date and time is correct but he cannot make a permanent change / adjustment. On restart / reboot the time corrects itself in his situation.
The Apply button is greyed out on all of the devices.
I've googled the problem and most fixes are for putting this issue correct on Win7 Pro and Ultimate versions of the OS and therefore don't apply to the Win7 Home edition.
I have tried correcting the time from an administrative Dos Box and the change applies itself until next reboot / restart.
The date and time in bios is correct.
That's 4 Win7 Home devices that I know of where the Apply Button remains greyed out and you cannot make a permanent date / time adjustment.
Can anybody offer any other suggestions?
Oh and I've even tried doing this is safe mode too and failed.
