    Removing Ellipsis in File names

How do I remove the ellipses in my desktop shortcuts and in Explorer? I like to see full filenames.
    Some people call these "breadcrumbs."

( Whoops. The page I was going to reference does not seem to have any relation to breadcrumbs. Just showing full path in the title bar of Explorer. ) But I did see someone mention the breadcrumbs could be avoided by using Classic Shell.

Just hold Ctrl and scroll your mouse till you get the full text.

By the time the icons got big enough, they were about 1 1/4 inch wide and sliding all over the screen. I do have Classic Shell. I'll take another look. I might be wrong that they're the same thing as breadcrumbs, but they're defintely ellipses.

On my system, when I hover the mouse pointer over the icon, a box pops up to display the full name. In addition, if I click on the icon to select it, I see the full name.

I think I figured it out it worked for me

Basically I clicked on "view" inside the folder that had the pdf files that had the ellipses in them. It was set to "details" as the view option. I changed it to "list" and then each file no longer had ellipses.

By the way the "view" drop down is on the same page as where you see the ellipses. You don't have to go out of it. just look above the first file in the folder and it should be next to "sort", the trash can icon, the cut, copy, paste. All that stuff.

these emojis are so funny. On par with the ones at the bowling alley.
