Did you create a homegroup on 1 PC and join the other PC to that Homegroup, and did you turn on all the sharing options on both PC`s ?
192.168.10.3 is a strange IP Address, are you sure it`s not 192.168.1.3 ????
Dear ADDRAM
can you please guide me to tutorial on how to create homegroup and turn on sharing
i used ipconfig command to find the IP address as 192.168.10.3, we have wireless router which assigns DHCP IP address to all the computers in my home
thanks in advance
Dear AddRAM
ok thanks
and yes i can ping the router
OK then once you create the Homegroup each pc should be able to see each other.
Make sure this is changed to Homegroup on both PC`s.
You should also be able to login to the router if it`s ip address indeed is 192.168.10.1
Type 192.168.10.1 into Chrome, hit enter and your router login page should come up.
Does it ?
yes i am able to see the login page of router
