    computer restarts automatically

Whenever I watch youtube at full screen (and sometimes when just the window is maximized) my computer restarts (no BSOD). This problem occurs only with google chrome. The same thing sometimes happens when I click on windows explorer from the taskbar or the start button, but not always.

    Thanks

    Hi,
Chrome soaks up a lot of memory
A 32 bit os has little to spare so I would not use Chrome on a 32 bit os

You're not using a laptop so max out the memory and install a 64 bit version which will use it all.
You can use this to see what are the memory upgrades
    Crucial.com - Crucial System Scanner

If you're overheating this could also cause a shutdown or restart so use this to monitor your temperatures
    Intel only
    Download Real Temp | techPowerUp

    AMD or intel cpu's
    Download MajorGeeks.Com - MajorGeeks

thanks a lot for the advice. Just want to say that it's a fairly new problem; it's been a month and YouTube was working perfectly on chrome before that.

Now if you put this together with your other post, earbuds.
Im going down the line of an imminent hardware failure- due to a shorting problem.
    Back up your data NOW.

I have an older PC (32 bits) W7 and it still runs ok with Google chrome.
However youtube is something different and uses extremely CPU capacity.
You could try to change the resolution settings or the kind of player.
With the addon Magic actions you could try to reduce the PC load.
I'm not using the older PC much on Youtube cause it's hampering.
But is won't restart like yours.

try disabling chrome hardware acceleration. One way to do this is by creating a shortcut to chrome, then edit it so its reads something like this:

    C:\Users\You\yourpathfoldersssssssss\chrome.exe --disable-gpu

I, too, have been having problems with Chrome.
I did not have your reboot problem. My issues were different.
But Chrome has become useless to the point where I've abandoned it completely.
