    Notepad display

With notepad the font size has always been 12. However the type size view has always been quite large. Now, for no reason the view has become very small. I haven't changed anything, hardware, software or notepad settings. Please read this carefully - others have not.

Added: It is no good making text greater than 12 because I am forever copying and pasting from Notepad and everything i have is size 12. (points?)

Hello Mike, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

If you like, you could user a higher DPI setting to make everything appear larger in Windows.

    Mike,

Open Notepad, and under "Format" -> "Font" set the type and size of your font from there. I just tried it and it works just fine for me.

Thanks, but I leave the font set at 12. As I said it is now very small on the screen. Previously I was still set at 12, but the type was much larger on the screen and this is what I want to get back to. I just don't know how!

    Thanks again.

mike. Is the font size still showing as 12. If it is then something else has changed, have you changes monitors or screen resolution recently?. The font on my Notepad is Lucida Console & the size is 10, which is the default as far as I know.

If you want to change the font or font size in Notepad, open it & select Format from the top menu, then click on Font from the drop down list & then select what you need from the font & size selection.

You could change the font size as I described in my Post #6. Select a size that suits you.

    Thanks Ranger4
You're not reading my ad correctly. My font size has always been 12. At this size the screen image has previously shown the text as quite large. Now, I have made no hardware or software changes and the text view has become very small. I'm mystified.

I can't change my text larger than 12 because I am always copying and pasting from notepad and that is the size I use in all other programs.

    Mike,

Is this only happening with Notepad, or everything? If only Notepad, then check to see if the font (Format -> Font) may have been changed from what you had before.

Have you checked to see if your screen resolution or DPI has been changed to rule them out?
