Title: Explorer.EXE

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a progam or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

Body of error with white/silver X in red circle. This is when a program is right clicked, and clicked "Open File Location." windows 7 problems are really annoying please help, thanks, also my windows 7 computer is loved but it can get on my nerve sometime (i've had it for 8 years or 9, i think)

Hi there,

explorer.exe <<<---- is the backbone of your system, and as such you make changes in the registry you cannot in theory open it.

IF its showing in capitals then somethings wrong.

open your task manager >> look in services it should be showing in lower case, if not suggest you run your AV and antimalware progs.

hello

I found the problem! ever since I deleted an important windows file called "WUDFhost.exe in c:\Windows\System32\( the file ), or alternatively, wudfsvc. Do you know where I can install another one, and if i am allowed to ask you, could you give me a copy of it? Thanks so much.

Hi
As youve DELETED that file,
you could try running
sfc /scannow (note the space).

If that fails perform a Repair install, no loss of your data.

Dont have a repair disc,
run this tool, copy/paste the output
