Task Scheduler deleting bat file and removing permissions for folder.
I have a simple bat file that launches firefox and runs an in-browser macro that logs me on. It's worked flawlessly, at 7am and 3pm every day.
Suddenly today, Task Scheduler launches it and mid-bat file, deletes it.
- I tried to copy paste the macro back in and rename it, it tells me I don't have permission to do that.
- I take ownership of the entire folder, and it still says I don't have permission.
- I created a new folder and put the macros back inside it, and re-made the ask in Task Scheduler. It deleted itself and wrecked the permissions for the new folder.
- I put the tasks themselves under System32. It deleted the bat file again.
- The clock on/clock off bat files work fine when launched manually. Something about the Task Scheduler is screwing them up, even when I hit "Run with the highest privilege" checkbox.
I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium. I've had Windows Updates disabled since January so nothing could have changed overnight like that.
Please tell me someone knows how to fix this and why it's screwed up?
