    pc being blocked

Hi every one, Name here is Tony and age is 87yrs. I have a problem thats driving me crazy, for the past 4 weeks I have been trying to down load iplayer files to DVD, I need these 'cause catch-up doesn't have "subtitles" and being very deaf these are important to me. In 2015 I purchased Aimersoft Video Converter plus DRM MEDIA converter (Lifetime use) and was successful in producing abt 4 DVDs. Now I cannot do this and when I try to load files into either of progs, I get picture of padlock in the spot where the file SHOULD be, I dont think it is the software fault, rather more some thing is not right with my PC. PLEASE can anybody have any ideas how to remove this ??? Windows 7 Home 32bit. Thank You

Long ago, I also had padlocks on some of my files, can't remember the cause. I'm wondering if a background-running security or monitoring or backup program may be too assertively set. Can this specific video software test a file while Windows is in Safe Mode?
